 Alexandria Spring Senior Session

 

I met Ava for the first time for senior portraits at Green Spring Gardens in Alexandria this past Spring. We wanted to have her photos finished in time for graduation with beautiful blooms as our backdrop. Green Spring did not disappoint!

Originally, we had planned to shoot at the Tidal Basin, but with the ever-changing restrictions due to COVID, we decided it would be less stress on everyone to find blooms elsewhere. Green Spring was perfect – we found cherry blossoms and so many other varieties in bloom!

I had so much fun with Ava! She was open to all of my crazy pose and shot suggestions. Ava is a lifelong dancer, so I wanted to be sure I captured her in elegant poses with lots of movement and pointed toes during our time together. Her dress choice was perfect!

I loved so many of these, but especially the wide shots in front of the tulip tree. Thank you Ava, it was so much fun to shoot for you and I am so excited for all that is in store for you post-graduation! 🙂
