Deanna and I lived in the same neighborhood growing up. We met in elementary school and our families crossed paths many times over the years. I met Clifford at Cox Farms somewhere along the way.
Deanna & Clifford’s love story blossomed at Cox Farms. They have both worked there for many years (I overlapped with them for a portion of those years), so naturally, that is where they chose to take their engagement photos.
We had a cold, crisp Fall evening that left our hands and faces numb. Each backdrop we chose to use held some sort of special significance to their relationship. I wish I could remember them all! Deanna works on a lot of the tech equipment on the farm, and there is quite a bit of that equipment in the hayride barn, so we started there framed by colorful wagons and showers of bubbles. We ended the evening with a gorgeous Cox Farms sunset (seriously, one of the best sunset spots in the DMV!) and posed on the infamous large yellow chair because it was built by De’s dad.
This shoot was so uniquely them. We used spots around the farm I would never think to use, which really made me think creatively when it came to posing. They let me be my crazy self to make their vision for their engagement photos come to life and I loved it.
De and Clifford are getting married in the fall and I can’t wait to celebrate. Thank you so much for choosing me to document your love story…you guys are the best!
