Winter Garden Family Mini Session
Green Spring Gardens is one of my favorite locations to shoot at in the DMV. No matter what time of year, there is always color and texture to play with in their wide expanse of seasonal flower beds. And the kids always enjoy looking at wildlife in the pond!
I met the Santana family for a winter garden family mini session on a *very* cold evening this past December.
It was my first time having a session with them, Melanie said she was looking for updated family prints for their family room. She prefaced our time together by saying they wanted to have lots of fun with the shoot and she had a daughter with a huge personality! Boy, did she!
We spent the evening walking around the grounds laughing and dancing and coming up with fun poses…it was a blast. Their family portrait by the wooden trellis and Melanie’s headshots are some of my all-time favorite images. I love her dark floral dress against the chilly bare winter backdrop.
