She’s here! We waited so long and she’s finally here! My sister and her husband welcomed their baby girl, Emery (Emy) earlier this Fall, and made me an aunt for the first time. She is also the first granddaughter on our side of the family. So special already!

I went down to spend a weekend with my sister shortly after Rachel gave birth. I got some great one-on-one time with the pups while Rachel recovered, and some middle-of-the-night shifts with Miss Em. Before I left, we took a few newborn photos in their home. We got so many sweet, snuggly shots because lady made up her mind and decided she did not want to be put down for a single second of our shoot.

I love the wildflower theme of their nursery. Peep our favorite book growing up, “Is Your Mama a Llama.” I love the little fluffy dog ears poking into some of these images. And Emery’s teeny tiny fingers. They made their own board-and-batten wall in the nursery, and received some really beautiful blankets and knit stuffed animals, so I tried to showcase those as well.

She has some very proud parents, and very proud pups. Rachel and Brendan, you’re doing such a great job. We love her so much! I will always look back at her teeny-ness here with a big smile on my face.
