Fells Point Intimate Waterside Wedding

I can’t believe I am just blogging this now!

I photographed Kerry & Debdeep’s beautiful Fells Point intimate waterside wedding this past September. Their weekend was a little crazy – I had a 1.5 month old at home and poor Kerry & Debdeep had drastically changed their wedding plans due to COVID (originally, they were renting out M&T Bank Stadium with a 300+ guest list!).

Debdeep worked with my husband while we lived in Maryland. A couple things you learn pretty quickly about Debdeep is that he is extremely passionate about his collection of Air Jordans and he’s obsessed with 90’s R&B. This sets the scene nicely for their wedding day.

Both Debdeep and Kerry were born-and-raised in Baltimore, so they wanted to keep the vibe of the day as “Charm City” as possible. We started the afternoon getting ready at the couple’s row home. Sandwiches scattered the counter, Baltimore collectibles dotted the room, Debdeep serenaded us while the ladies finished up their hair and makeup.

Shortly after, we headed to Fells Point for Kerry’s final touches at the Sagamore Pendry. The Pendry is gorgeous! It made such an elegant backdrop for details, dress and jewelry shots, including traditional Indian jewelry Debdeep’s family gave Kerry to wear for a portion of the evening.

Kerry emailed me shortly before their wedding day and explained she had a big surprise for Debdeep. She bought a pair of Air Jordans to wear them under her wedding dress and was going to surprise him during their first look. I’ve never seen a more happy and surprised groom! It was the best. They got hoots and hollers from many groups walking by.

We ended the evening with a sunset ceremony and waterside dinner with their closest family and friends. The perfect ending to a beautiful day.
