April 20, 2015
After college graduation, Brian and I went on a camping trip up the coast.
We started in Northern Virginia and ended in Portland, Maine. We stayed in Cape Cod and Boston on our way up and had our fill of campfires, chowder, lobster, moose and sightseeing. He surprised me this Christmas with a plan to do the opposite – in the beginning of April we’d take a road trip down the east coast, hitting all the major beach towns along the way.
So the beginning of April came and we said goodbye to work, packed up our bags, and headed off. We stopped for a night or two in VA Beach, OBX, Wilmington, Myrtle, Charleston and Savannah. We experienced enough beaches, riverwalks, barbeque and palm trees to last us at least a couple months. The last two stops were the highlights of the trip, I had never been to Charleston or Savannah before, and they were both absolutely beautiful.
Of course I took some photos along the way 🙂 Here are the highlights so you can kind of get the vibe of what encompasses some of these awesome southern spots.
