Fall Rooftop City Wedding | MLK Memorial Library | Washington, DC

These are a few of my favorite images from Meg + Dylan’s gorgeous DC fall wedding!

Their venue, the newly renovated MLK Memorial Library, was a rooftop, deck, and garden…and it was absolutely stunning! We had a perfect early fall day for weather, the sun was shining, and the views were incredible. Meg added so many personal touches to their day including writing each attendees name on a velvet blue ribbon for their place cards, homemade cocktail napkins, and a hand crafted and collaged champagne bottle from her best friend during their getting ready hours.

The venue had floor-to-ceiling wooden accent walls that made for the perfect backdrop for both the ceremony and the first look with Dylan and Meg’s father. Meg and Dylan took dance lessons before the wedding day, so they twirled their way through their first song together, and continued twirling long into the night on the dance floor. Meg changed into a super cute reception dress for the end of the night. It was all absolutely perfect!

These two were surrounded by so much love from their family and friends, and the couple’s vision came together seamlessly. It was a pleasure capturing their day. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do!

We kept in line with their DC theme and I saw them for a Tidal Basin cherry blossom engagement session that I hope to blog soon! Since then, I’ve also seen them for their maternity session just outside of the city. There is nothing I love more than growing with wedding couples and celebrating their life milestones together. It is so special and I’m so happy to continue being a part of their life.
