Winter Maternity Portraits   |   Old Town   |   Alexandria, Virginia

This was one of my favorite portrait sessions of 2022.

I had the pleasure of meeting Brianna and Ben for an Old Town maternity session this past February. They booked this session to commemorate the end of their first trimester and celebrate how far they’d come in a very difficult pregnancy journey. My heart hurt for them as they told me all the trials they’d be through over the past couple of years. I’m so happy to say, they’ve made it to the other side of those struggles, and welcomed a beautiful baby boy later in the year. Sweet little Mack.

We spent the afternoon exploring Old Town Alexandria together. They brought their two havapoos and a few props with them for some of their photos. I have to say, Mack had one of the cutest ultrasound photos I’ve seen. He has this tiny little button nose, and it was such a clear picture! We had really gorgeous lighting that afternoon, the snuggle shots at the end of the session in the park with the pups were some of my favorites.

I am so thrilled for you both and am having so much fun watching the beginning of your parenthood journey. Little Mack needs to teach my Pierce a thing or two about eating solids! That boy is an eating machine! 🙂
