I love these Middleburg family holiday portraits!

I’ve gotten to know the extended Trkula family over the last couple of years since our COVID home portraits together. Emily and I had our first two babies at the same time – literally our sons share a birth day! So it’s always great to see them and swap our motherhood stories.

We decided to shoot holiday portraits in downtown Middleburg this year. It was such a beautiful session. We had a mild sunny evening and the boys had fun exploring the nooks and crannies of downtown. There are so many gorgeous corners of that town, and we were lucky to still have some of the pretty fall foliage lining the streets. The big leaf pile we found at the end was a big hit! Baby gave mama so many sweet gummy smiles throughout our time together, it melts my heart looking back at these images.
