Lifestyle Newborn Session   |   Washington, DC

It just so happened that the last shoot before my maternity leave with Pierce was a DC at-home newborn session. I cannot tell you how excited this got me to meet my own baby just a few weeks later!

I was introduced to this sweet family for the first time by a previous lavender client. We met at Meridian Hill Park on a beautiful and bustling evening for a DC maternity session last Fall. Fast forward a few months later, and their healthy baby boy arrived!

I had the privilege of visiting them at their home for a lifestyle newborn session when he was a few months old. Their minimalist style and simple earthy tones were so perfect for showing off his cute little details. There is truly nothing better than photographing tiny toes and biiiiig yawns. The smiles he gave his mom and big brother, and the playfulness he showed dad, during our time together were the sweetest!

I have so many favorites from this session, it was hard to choose. Thank you so much, Lena, for inviting me into your home during such a special time for your family. Such a pleasure meeting your beautiful boys! I have a feeling they will grow up to be the best of friends.
