Lake Harmony Beach Wedding

I have been so excited to share Elisabeth + Kasey’s Lake Harmony beach wedding. It was so unique, I had to really take my time to do it justice!

Elisabeth + Kasey are part of our York friend group. I saw them for their engagement session last Fall at Butterbee Farm. It was a gorgeous session and the perfect precursor to their wedding day. When we were first talking about their wedding plans, Elisabeth said “I want it to feel like a big beach party with all of our friends.” And that is exactly what it was!

The Most wedding was not a single evening event. It was a four day weekend full of family, friends and festivities. Guests traveled to Lake Harmony in the Poconos and rented cabins for the weekend. If you know me, you know this part of the country is near and dear to my heart!

Elisabeth got ready in a lakeside condo on the day of the ceremony. Kasey was in a big log cabin with his entire family. He had on a dapper emerald suit, I loved it!

They were married at Hickory Run Chapel, a quaint and quiet white chapel on the side of a stream in Hickory Run State Park with zero cell service.

Candles lined the aisle, guests were given glasses of champagne to toast the couple after vows. The family created a heartfelt tribute for Elisabeth’s late father. You could feel his presence through their stories, laughter and tears. It was beautiful and my heart goes out to all of them. <3

After their ceremony, we hiked to Hawk Falls. Elisabeth and Kasey packed candles, put on their trekking shoes and changed back into their wedding outfits in dense brush at the base of the falls. We rock climbed to get shots in and around the waterfall. These were THE coolest golden hour shots I’ve taken to date. I’ve said this before, Elisabeth your vision was everything!

After waterfall portraits, they had an intimate family dinner at Nick’s Lake House. We saw a bear casually strolling by the restaurant window! The sunset over the water was fantastic.

The next day was party time. Elisabeth and Kasey rented out Boulder View Tavern for their reception and WHAT A PARTY. The restaurant sat on the shore of Big Boulder Lake, surrounded by boats and trees just starting to show their fall colors. Keeping with the boho-beach theme, the table bouquets were filled with tropical flowers and palms. We took sunset portraits on the water and finished the night with lots of dancing, lake shimmering in the background. Elisabeth and Kasey took over the DJ booth at one point and I’ve never seen guests so hype!
