Lincoln Memorial Winter Engagement
I had such a fun –and freezing– morning with Sara and Brad this February when we photographed their Lincoln Memorial winter engagement session!
Sara reached out to me a few months ago to plan their session. Our mutual friend, Heather, gave her my information after having done a few sessions with me over the years with her husband, Eric. Sara explained she and Brad met in college, are both from Tennessee, but are currently living in Washington, DC. So they wanted their engagement session to highlight the beauty of their new home.
The weather was nutty the days leading up to our early morning shoot. At one point, snow, ice, rain and sleet were all in the forecast, so we had no idea what would greet us that morning. Luckily, there was not a drop to be found when we arrived. But wow, was it cold!
We walked, we twirled, we laughed, we froze.
These two were amazing even with the below-freezing temps. We started at the reflecting pool and ended our session in the Lincoln Memorial. The Mall is always such a stunning and timeless backdrop. I always feel gratitude during these shoots that I live so close to our nation’s capital.
Congratulations Sara & Brad! Thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your love story!
