When we have Fridays off work in the summer, Brian & I usually visit his parents in Bethany Beach for a quick weekend getaway.

We have it down to a science – I typically leave that afternoon with the dog and stop at our favorite dog beach along the way. Brian gets there after work and we spend the rest of the weekend running trails, kayaking, taking the dog to the ocean, getting a drink poolside and spending time with family. It’s not a bad life! Their neighborhood is so scenic – it backs up to the bay and has a gorgeous community garden right in the center – we often ride their collection of beach bikes around the streets in the evenings.

I brought my camera along on a couple of our visits this summer to give you a glimpse of our home away from home! Makes me wish it were summer!
