One of my very favorite things about at-home newborn lifestyle sessions is that I get to capture couples growing into their new roles as parents. This is even more special when I’ve known the couple long before their pregnancy.

Ryan is my cousin, we lived two blocks away growing up. We’ve shared years of memories together with our families – beach trips, backyard fire crackers on the Fourth of July, the cousins writing our names in just-poured concrete down the street. And although I haven’t know Kate quite as long, it still feels like she’s been in the family forever.

Needless to say, when little Logan came into the world a few weeks early, it was all we could do to keep ourselves from driving over to the hospital after receiving the much-anticipated “He’s here!” text. Please say hello to the proud parents, dog-brother Banner, and the sweetest boy, Logan Wheelbarger! Love you guys! <3
