With the move falling right at the end of lavender season, things have been a bit chaotic, so I am only now getting to the highlight post. But it’s finally here!
I’ll start with a little background – I started working at Seven Oaks Lavender Farm last October. During my time there, I predominantly focused on marketing and social media work for the farm, but Deb asked if I’d be interested in doing their portrait photography for the season as well. For those of you who don’t know much about lavender, the lavender season is very short – about 3-4 weeks in June/July. Because of this, I knew the photo season would be quick and intense. And it was. It was also a huge success! I had over 40 sessions in just three weeks, and they included everything from family sessions to maternity sessions to engagements. It went so well that we have already made plans for me to travel back for sessions this coming June.
There were so many families that I met and so many great photos that came out of each session, it has been almost impossible to choose which to add to the post. I hope those of you who are highlighted will smile remembering your time spent at the farm, and those who aren’t (I apologize!), but I hope you recognize some of the familiar backgrounds and furry critters! 🙂
Enjoy and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you think you may be interested in next June’s sessions! A HUGE thank you again to all the families and couples who came out for their field and farm portraits! You guys were fabulous!
